- Honda Livo BS6 teaser video released
- Gets new features and updated styling
- To be powered by the same engine as that of the new CD 110 Dream BS6
After launching the majorly updated Grazia 125 BS6 in India, Honda is now all set to introduce the new version of the Livo commuter motorcycle. The Japanese bike maker has released a teaser video of the Livo BS6 giving us a glimpse of the updates it has been bestowed with.
As can be interpreted from the video, the overall silhouette of the Livo BS6 remains the same. However, we might witness minor changes around its front, rear and fuel tank section. It has also been adorned with sportier graphics on the fuel tank and under seat panels. In terms of features, new elements such as an engine start/stop switch and a silent ACG starter have been added while the existing fully-analogue console is replaced by a semi-digital unit.
The most important update will come in the form of a revised 110cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine which will feature fuel-injection, in place of carburetor of the outgoing model. This will be the same unit which powers the new CD 110 Dream BS6 which produces 8.6bhp at 7,500rpm and 9.30Nm at 5,500rpm. It will continue to be mated to a four-speed gearbox. Another noteworthy alteration will be a larger disc brake at the front, as can be observed in the teaser video.
The Honda Livo BS6 is likely to be available in two variants – drum brake and front disc, similar to its BS4 counterpart. Expect the starting price to be around Rs 65,000-70,000 (ex-showroom). It will compete against the Hero Passion Pro 110, TVS Star City Plus and Bajaj Platina 110 H-Gear.
