Hero recently launched the Xtreme 160R in India. It is offered in two variants- Front disc and dual-disc priced at Rs 99,950 and Rs 1.03 lakh, (ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively.

The Xtreme 160R is available in three, dual-tone colour schemes- Pearl Silver White, Sports Red, and a lesser-known, Vibrant Blue paint. Nevertheless, all three colour schemes are paired with black that features on half of the 12-litre fuel-tank and on the rear section which houses an LED tail lamp. Moreover, Hero has also equipped the sporty commuter with features like a full-LED headlamp and turn signals, LCD instrument cluster and side-stand engine cut off switch.

Powering the Xtreme 160R is a 160cc, air-cooled, and fuel-injected engine. This single-cylinder motor churns out 15bhp at 8,500rpm and 14Nm at 6,500rpm and comes mated to a five-speed gearbox. In terms of competition, the Xtreme 160R goes up against the Suzuki Gixxer, Yamaha FZ V3, Bajaj Pulsar NS160, and the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V.
