India’s most affordable adventure motorcycle, the Hero Xpulse 200, will now come with options of four different seat covers. The most basic one is termed as Modern which comes with a plain surface while the Tourer and Adventure variants get a ribbed surface for better grip and comfort. There’s also a fancier-looking Dual Tone seat cover option.
Hero has also revealed a dedicated helmet for the Xpulse 200. Its motocross design sporting ‘Xpulse’ decals is in line with the whole adventure concept of the motorcycle. Moreover, the bold graphics look rugged and eye-catchy. Prices of the helmet and seat covers are not revealed yet. For some, these accessories may not be enough and hardcore off-road-oriented kit might be their cup of tea. Such riders can opt the Xpulse 200 rally kit which costs Rs 38,000. Hero has revealed all the details of the BS6-updated Xpulse 200, except for its prices. Powering the motorcycle is the same 199cc, fuel-injected, air-cooled engine, however, with a different placement of the exhaust and a larger catalytic converter. The BS6-bound changes have resulted in a slight drop in its power and torque output which stand at 17.8bhp and 16.45Nm now. Another change is the addition of a bash plate which was absent in the BS4 iteration. Rest of the details remain unchanged.
As for the cost of the Xpulse 200 BS6, Hero is likely to price it at a premium of around Rs 5,000 over the BS4 model which was pegged at Rs 1.06 lakh (ex-showroom).
