- Gets new LED headlight similar to the unit on the 390 Duke
- No other changes to the design or features
- Likely to carry a price premium over the previous model
The KTM250 Duke will soon arrive with an updated headlight assembly. The quarter-litre motorcycle from the Austrian two-wheeler brand has been spied with an LED headlight that resembles the unit on the 390 Duke. The 250 Duke was previously available with a halogen headlight that was flanked by LED DRLs.
The 250 Duke already retailed at a premium price tag as compared to other quarter-litre motorcycles in the Indian market. The addition of the new LED headlight is likely to take the prices higher from the current Rs 2,05,312 (ex-showroom Delhi).
The changes are limited to the addition of the LED headlight while the rest of the styling cues remain unaltered. Thus, the 250 Duke continues to pack roadster motorcycle styling that is accompanied by features such as LED blinkers, LED taillight, digital instrument cluster and split-style seats. The hardware specifications, too, remain unchanged, and the 250 Duke continues to use upside-down telescopic forks at the front and a preload-adjustable rear mono-shock to perform the suspension duties.
Mechanical specifications are not likely to undergo any changes as the 250 Duke already complies with the BS6 emission norms. The 248.8cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine on the motorcycle is tuned to produce 29.6bhp at 9,000rpm and 24Nm of torque at 7,500rpm.
The updated model is yet to arrive at the dealerships, although we could hear an official announcement soon.
