- Honda Activa 6G prices increased by Rs 955
- Start at Rs 65,419 (ex-showroom, Delhi)
- Second price hike since its launch
Honda has increased the prices of its highest-selling product, the Activa 6G BS6, for the second time since its launch. After receiving its first price hike of Rs 552 in April 2020, the scooter has become more expensive once again by Rs 955. The Activa 6G now costs Rs 65,419 (standard) and Rs 66,919 (deluxe) (both prices are ex-showroom, Delhi).
Honda had launched the Activa 6G BS6 in January 2020. The 110cc scooter has been bestowed with a bunch of updates over its previous BS4 counterpart. Firstly, the styling of the Activa is now slightly sharper and more angular than before. It also comes equipped with a bunch of new features such as an external fuel filler cap, engine start-stop switch, multifunction key fob and a silent ACG starter.
The 109cc air-cooled engine is now benefitted by electronic fuel injection, as against the previous carbureted fuelling setup. It comes mated to a CVT gearbox and produces 7.6bhp and 8.79Nm. Honda has also improved the scooter in terms of hardware. It incorporates telescopic forks up front, in place of the previous link-type suspension setup, while the 10-inch front wheel has also been replaced by a larger 12-inch unit. Braking continues to be handled by a drum at both ends assisted by CBS.
The Honda Activa 6G is available in six colour options including blue, red, yellow, black, white and grey. It competes against the TVS Jupiter BS6 in India.
