Bajaj Auto has updated its India website with the Platina 100 ES Disc brake variant. The disc brake version of the 100cc commuter motorcycle is priced at RS 60,698. In comparison, the drum brake variant of Platina 100 ES retails at Rs 58,477.
The anchoring setup includes a 240mm disc at the front and a 110mm drum unit at the back while the safety net comprises of CBS tech. The disc brake version (119kg) tips the weighing scale 1.5kg higher than the drum brake variant (117.5kg). All other specifications are similar to the Platina 100 ES Drum variant.
Thus, mechanical specifications include a 102cc, single-cylinder motor that is tuned to produce 7.77bhp of maximum power at 7,500rpm and 8.34Nm of peak torque at 5,500rpm. The engine is linked to a four-speed gearbox. The claimed top speed of the motorcycle is rated at 90kmph.
The feature list on the disc brake variant, similar to the drum brake model, comprises of a halogen headlight, LED DRL, tinted visor, long suspension travel and spring soft seat for comfortable ride quality. The motorcycle is available in two colour options – Red and Black.
