- Royal Enfield Classic 500 Tribute Black limited to 1000 units
- Gets unique paint scheme and build number plate
- Features additional accessories as standard.
Royal Enfield has launched the Classic 500 Tribute Edition in the UK for GBP 5,499 which is approximately Rs 5.38 lakh.
The Tribute Black Edition is limited to just 1000 units (210 for the UK) and marks the end of Royal Enfield’s 500cc era. To justify its limited-edition tag, the motorcycle sports a unique paint scheme. It features a two-tone matte black and gloss black colour along with gold pinstriping on the bodywork and wheels. Moreover, Royal Enfield is also offering the Classic 500 Tribute Black with accessories like canvas panniers with mounting racks, touring mirrors, pillion seat and machined oil filler cap.
Each of the units also features an individually numbered plaque on the battery box. Apart from this, the limited edition motorcycle is similar to the standard bike. It is powered by a 499cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 27.2bhp and 41.3Nm. It rides on telescopic forks for the front and dual-shocks at the rear and uses disc brakes at both ends along with dual-channel ABS for braking.
Interestingly, the Classic 500 Tribute Black Edition was on sale in India in February 2020 to mark the end of the 500cc engine. However, the model continued to be exported globally. Now that the 500cc engine is at its end, Royal Enfield will shift its focus on the 650 twins and Himalayan in international markets. As for India, the manufacturer is set to launch the all-new Meteor 2350 sometime next month.
