Aprilia has launched the new Storm 125 in India. Priced at Rs 65,000 (ex-showroom, Pune), it is the most affordable scooter in the brand’s product portfolio. If you are planning to purchase one, here are the top five highlights of the scooter.
Bold rugged-themed graphics and colour options
While the Storm 125 follows the same design as the SR125, it differentiates itself from the latter with bold rugged-themed graphics. For colour options, Aprilia is offering the Storm 125 a the choice of red and yellow colour options. Aprilia will also be adding a white colour option later.
Double-barrel headlamp
Like the other Aprilia models, the Storm 125 gets the same double barrel headlamp unit which offers a brighter and wider spread.
Smaller wheels with chunkier tyres
In order to keep costs in check, the Storm 125 comes equipped with smaller 12-inch alloy wheel shod with chunky Vee Rubber knobbies.
CBS
Unlike the SR125 which comes with a disc-drum arrangement for braking, the Storm 125 gets drum brakes at both ends. However, to amp up the safety and braking efficiency, the setup comes equipped with CBS.
Pricing and bookings
Aprilia has priced the Storm 125 competitively at Rs 65,000 (ex-showroom, Pune) which is Rs 8000 lesser than the SR125 it is based on. At this price, the Storm 125 is the most affordable Aprilia in the scooter market. Dealerships have already started accepting bookings for the scooter while deliveries are likely to begin soon.
