The Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is one of the finest motorcycles we rode in the last few months. We had the motorcycle for almost a year, and we did lots of commuting on it in Mumbai. We also took it on 1,000km a day trips. In fact, we spent more time with it on the highways than in the city. While the bike performed quite well, there are a few things that could make it better and this can be done via the brand’s accessories list. We list the top five must-have accessories on your Meteor 350.
Windshield
Royal Enfield provides windshield as standard only on the top-end variant of the Meteor. But honestly, this accessory is a must-have for riders who do many highway runs. This windscreen deflects a lot of wind thus resulting in less body fatigue.
Sumpguard
The Meteor isn’t an off-road motorcycle. So, the chances of this bike seeing dirt is a bare minimum. But we have seen various riders (on Instagram) take their Meteors to off-beaten paths for cool pictures or to explore some nearby dam. So, it does make sense to get this accessory as the trails to such places are quite bad.
Backrest
Now this accessory is quite famous in India. A lot of riders who travel with pillion get this installed on their motorcycle. Royal Enfield is offering this accessory for the Meteor owners and from the images, it looks quite good.
Seat
The seat on the Meteor is quite comfortable. In fact, the seating comfort on the bike is one of the best aspects of the motorcycle. Be it for a few minutes or long saddle hours, the stock seat provides ample support during the ride. But the brand is also offering a seat with a lower height. This should be good for riders who are on the shorter side.
Get it personalized
How about having your full name or maybe a name that you have huge respect for, on the fuel tank of your Meteor? Sounds really cool, right? And why not! There is barely any motorcycle company that gives an opportunity to personalise your motorcycle. The brand’s official website has a tool that helps you put a custom name of the fuel tank. However, in order to do this, you will need to shop for at least Rs 4,000.
