A few days ago, we were lucky enough to attend Ducati’s first off-road DRE which was held in Off-Road Adventure Zone in Gurgaon. With this event, Ducati wanted its customers to explore the world of off-roading with their own bikes. So we give you some reasons to attend the Ducati DRE Off-Road Days.
1: Access to non-Ducati owners
If you don’t own a Ducati, that’s fine. This event is open to non-Ducati owners as well. All you have to do is register in time through its official website, and then you are good to go. We don’t remember the last time a premium bike maker opened its doors to a motorcyclist for such event.
2: Rent a Ducati
Ducati had a few Scramblers, Desert Sleds and Multistradas that could be rented out by anyone attending the event. This is a very good deal for people who have never experienced a Ducati ever before. However, it is on first-come first-serve basis only and is a part of the overall package.
3: Trained by DRE trainers
All DRE events are conducted by DRE certified trainers and the DRE Off-Road Days were no different. Vijay Parmar, a known personality in the Indian motoring fraternity, was the trainer for the first edition. The overall course and drills are the ones that are conducted in international markets.
4: Networking
Want to upgrade to a Ducati but not sure how the experience will be? This, probably,is the best place to talk to Ducati owners and their experience. They are the best people to tell you about their bikes, running costs and the quality of after-sales service.
5: Practical Drills
The drills that were part of DRE level 1 were quite practical and have been designed to make one’s life easy off-road and on forest trails. Each trails were followed by two to three practice runs, which we think is a decent time. But if the training experience was for a one full day instead of half a day, the experience would have been much better and more informative.
