We were the first ones to ride the new Aprilia SR 125 earlier this month. This stylish scooter has been launched to take away some sales from the Suzuki Access 125 and the Honda Grazia. While we have mentioned all the details of the scooter on our review, we do want to tell about the five things that our revealed about the SR 125.
Rides just like its 150cc sibling
The SR150 was known for its harsh ride, and the story is the same with the SR 125. The setup is on the stiffer side and that spoils the experience in everyday commuting life. The company should have introduced the adjustable front forks on this scooter. It would have been the best way to test out this feature.
Fantastic brakes
The two-pot front brake setup is just fantastic. The brakes perform confidently and doesn’t fade away under extreme riding. The feel on the lever is appreciable. The rear brake too, has good power and enough bite.
Not an exciting motor
The 125cc motor is from the Vespa LX 125. It lacks the oomph factor, blame the lazy CVT tuning. This is why the SR125 isn’t exciting. It makes more sense to pay couple of thousands more and go for the SR150.
Colours
The SR125 gets two unique paint schemes, blue and silver. The blue version is bright and gets matching decals and that makes it attractive. Unfortunately, the silver variant isn’t exciting enough.
Excellent handler
There’s a reason why the SR125 has a stiff ride, handling. The SR125 handles really well in the corners, making it the most exciting scooter in the 125cc space.
