5 things our review revealed about the Triumph Street Triple RS

We recently spent some time with the Triumph Street Triple RS and we were blown away by it. This top-spec motorcycle is equipped with some amazing components and that has made it special. Here, we’ll talk about that five things that our review revealed about this British motorcycle.

Best instrument cluster

If there was the ‘best instrument cluster’ award, the one on the Street Triple RS will definitely win. The full-colour TFT display is intuitive and attractive. It shows tonnes of ride data which are quite easy to read. This screen is also adjustable, which is first in the segment. The display unit also offers various themes with each theme getting different design options.

765cc motor is a gem

The 765cc inline-three motor on this Triumph churns out 121bhp at 11,700rpm and peak torque of 77Nm at 10,800rpm. The best aspect of this engine is the tractability. The bike can do 35kmph in fifth gear with revs ranging around 3500rpm. The wider torque spread also makes it easy for quick overtakes in the city. The engine is also super refined and doesn’t have any vibes even in the higher revs.

Outstanding brakes

The Street Triple RS gets the top-spec Brembo M50 monobloc front brake callipers that delivers outstanding performance. The bite and the feedback from the levers is instant and quite friendly too.

It can commute

The tractable 765cc motor, upright riding position and the lightness of the bike makes it an everyday bike. Not all big bikes can be ridden daily, but fortunately, the Street Triple RS isn’t in that list. The Street Triple RS is definitely an everyday bike.

Out of reach

Triumph has equipped the Street Triple RS with all the bells and whistles and this has created one problem, pricing. The Street Triple RS can be yours only if you are ready to pay Rs 13. 17 lakh (on-road Mumbai).
