5 things you should know about Cleveland CycleWerks

The 2018 Auto Expo is just around the corner and just like every expo, all manufacturers are gearing up to put their best foot forward. But this time, in the world of two-wheels, there’s a new name in the market which goes by the name Cleveland CycleWerks. Here, we’ll tell you five things about this new company. 

1. American brand

Cleveland CycleWerks is an American motorcycle brand that sells affordable modern-retro motorcycles. It’s a global company with business spread across 23 countries and now plans to enter India. 

2 Manufacturing in Pune

The company has tied up with an Indian partner, Laish-Madison Motorwerks. It is headquartered in Mumbai with manufacturing plant in Pune. It’s currently in the process of identifying suppliers that will make components for its upcoming products. 

3: Two new products

Cleveland CycleWerks plans to have five products in India. But it plans to kick start its India business with just two products, Ace and Misfit. Ace is a retro-classic motorcycle which also has a café-racer version and Misfit which is a café racer too. While the former is powered by a 229cc single-cylinder motor, the latter gets a 223cc engine. 

4: Competition 

With the Ace and Misfit, Cleveland plans to take on the market leader, Royal Enfield and its American counterpart, UM Motorcycles

5: Launch at the Auto Expo 2018

The company will unveil the 2018 versions of the Ace and the Misft at the upcoming 2018 Autoexpo. The pricing of these products will be decided depending on the visitors response.
