Honda 2Wheeler India’s Activa range continued to lead the sales chart in the scooter segment of the Indian market. The company sold more than twice number of units than the second best-selling scooter in April this year. Here we bring you a list of five top-selling scooters in India in April 2021.
The Honda Activa range continued to lead the sales chart in the scooter segment. The 110cc and the 125cc models recorded a combined sales of 1,09,678 units during April 2021. The company is currently offering the 110cc variant of the Activa range, the Activa 6G with a cashback offer that is available for SBI credit card holders. The cashback offer is valid until 30 June, 2021.
Suzuki’s 125cc scooter, the Acess 125 stood second on the charts, registering sales of 53,285 units during the month. The Access 125 is available in three variants – Standard, SE, and Bluetooth. The 125cc motor is known for its peppy nature, and the Suzuki Access 125 is among the most enjoyable scooters in the Indian market. The 124cc, single-cylinder engine makes 8.6bhp and 10Nm of peak torque.
TVS Jupiter 110
TVS Motor Company’s Jupiter recording 25,570 unit sales during April 2021. The 110cc scooter from TVS Jupiter is the closest rival to the Honda Activa 6G. It packs a typical family-scooter design along with features such as an LED headlight and an external fuel filler cap. The Jupiter is also known for its plush ride quality. Mechanical specifications include a 109.7cc, single-cylinder engine that makes 7.3bhp and 8.4Nm of peak torque.
Fourth on the list is another product from TVS Motor Company. The NTorq 125, which achieved 19,959 unit sales in April 2021, targets young buyers. Thus, the scooter comes with a modern design that is complemented by features such as LED headlight and a Bluetooth-enabled instrument cluster. The scooter is also performing well overseas, and it recently crossed the one-lakh unit sales milestone in the international markets. The 124.8cc, single-cylinder engine delivers 9.1bhp of power and 10.5Nm of peak torque.
Hero MotoCorp’s Pleasure Plus secured the fifth spot on the list, recording sales of 18,298 units during April 2021. Apart from the standard version, Hero MotoCorp also offers the Platinum variant of the scooter to attract more buyers. Both variants pack similar design and specifications, although the Platinum edition further benefits from styling elements such as Matte Black paint, brown-coloured inner panels, and a dual-tone seat. The 110.9cc, air-cooled engine on the Pleasure Plus range makes 8bhp and 8.7Nm.
