- 200 showrooms already open across India
- 300 new centres to be established by March
- Recently unveiled new variants of the S1 Air and S1 electric scooters
Ola Electric is set to establish a total of 500 experience centres across India by March 2023. Currently, the EV maker has 200 units available and plans to add 300 more.
Contrary to its earlier online-only model, the brand is now set to have 500 overall stations operational. These facilities will be set up across Tier 3 - 4 cities, rural areas, and towns. Apart from the showrooms, these touch points will also incubate service stations for timely maintenance and repair work.
Moreover, the company recently launched multiple variants of its electric scooters. So, the S1 Air can now be bought in three trims with different battery options – 2kWh, 3kWh, and 4kWh. The asking price for these models is set to Rs 84,999, Rs 99,999, and Rs 1,09,999 (all prices are ex-showroom Bengaluru). Even the S1 is now offered in two variants retailing at Rs 99,999 for the base model and Rs 1,09,999 (both ex-showroom Delhi) for the higher spec model.
Apart from the scooter update, Ola has also teased its entry in the electric motorcycle segment. The firm plans to unveil five different models including two street bikes, an adventure model, a cruiser, and a fully faired bike as well. All five are currently in the concept stage and will take a while before coming to fruition.
