CFMoto, the Chinese bike maker, entered into the Indian market this year and launched as many as four motorcycles. The company has no plans to stop there anytime soon as it intends to bring four more bikes in 2020. And, the one that we are really excited about is the fully-faired 300SR. While its India launch might still be a few months away, CFMoto is likely to give the 300SR’s first look at the EICMA show next week. In that case, let’s take a look at what we know so far about the bike and other imminent unveils by CFMoto at the EICMA 2019.
CFMoto 300SR
CFMoto had teased the 300SR race concept in May this year, which was followed by its spy shots emerging later in the production-ready form. The teaser showed an out and out race bike with low-set clip-ons, race livery, akrapovic exhaust and missing headlamp and tail lamp. As for the production model, it looked closely similar to the concept with the same aggressive styling but incorporated a higher-set handlebar, underbelly exhaust and full-LED lighting.
In terms of powerplant, the 300SR will be powered by the same motor which does duty on the naked 300NK that has been launched in India. This 292cc, single-cylinder unit makes 33.5bhp and 20.5Nm. What’s more, it will also get impressive features such as a 5-inch TFT display along with a premium set of components. Following its global unveil, the CFMoto 300SR is expected to come to our shores by the first half of 2020 and it will compete against the TVS Apache RR310 and Kawasaki Ninja 300.
CFMoto 1250cc touring model
A couple of patent images surfaced recently suggested that CFMoto is working on a 1250cc touring motorcycle. Codenamed as CF1250G, it features a bold design typical of bulky tourers. Interestingly, the set of accessories mounted on the bike suggested it will first go to the Chinese Police and will be available for the buyers later.
CFMoto is likely to use this 1250cc, V-twin platform to spawn other models as well. This could either be a street fighter or an adventure motorcycle. Now, only on the basis of these patent images, it is difficult to affirm if this flagship CFMoto will show up at the EICMA this year. The motorcycle could be in its early testing phase and might take another year to be ready for production. However, EICMA is all about surprises and expecting one from CFMoto wouldn’t be wrong.
Apart from the 300SR and a big-daddy tourer, the Chinese manufacturer could showcase one or more concepts for giving the viewers a glimpse of its future products and generating more interest towards the brand.
