Bajaj sold a total of 3.98 lakh motorcycles in October 2019. This is a decline of 8 per cent in comparison to the 4.32 lakh units it sold in the same month last year.
In the Indian market, Bajaj managed to sell 2.42 lakh motorcycles last month as against the 2.81 lakh motorcycles sold in October 2018; registering a 14 per cent decline. On the other hand, the manufacturer witnessed a 3 per cent growth in the export market for October 2019. It sold 1.56 lakh motorcycles last month compared to 1.51 lakh units sold in the same period in 2018.
Bajaj recently updated the Pulsar 150 Neon, giving it tank extensions to differentiate it from the smaller Pulsar 125 Neon. As for the Pulsar 125, Bajaj has also introduced the motorcycle in a split-seat variant which is currently available only in select states. The manufacturer also unveiled its first electric scooter, the Chetak that has been inspired by the legendary Chetak. Bajaj will launch the scooter in January next year and take on the Ather 450.
