Ducati recently took the wraps of the Panigale V2; the successor to the 959 Panigale at the 2020 Ducati World Premiere. The motorcycle is expected to make its way to India sometime next year. So before the bike arrives in the country, we bring to you details through this image gallery.
The designers at Bologna, Italy have drawn inspiration from the flagship V4 to design the Panigale V2. At first glance, one would even mistake it for the V4.
The sharp twin- LED DRLs and projector setup at the front gives the Panigale V2 a purposefully menacing look. The fairing, fuel tank and seat setup have also been borrowed from the Panigale V4.
Ducati has equipped the Panigale V2’s electronic package with cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, a two-way quickshifter and engine brake control. It has also fitted the bike with a new TFT screen.
While Ducati hasn’t changed the braking and suspension hardware on the bike, it has given the bike lower pre-load and damping. Moreover, it has revised the chassis for better handling.
Powering the bike is a new 955cc, Euro-5 compliant engine that produces 159bhp at 10,500rpm and 109Nm of torque at 9,000rpm. This motor puts out around 5bhp and 2Nm more than the 959 Panigale’s unit.
The Panigale V2 will be available in international markets by the end of this year and replace the existing 959 Panigale in those markets as well.
