Ducati Streetfighter V4 Image Gallery

Based on the foundation of the flagship superbike Panigale V4, Ducati unveiled the all-new Streetfighter V4 during its annual Ducati World Premiere show in Italy. The motorcycle will also be showcased at the EICMA show in Milan that is scheduled to be held in November. Before that, here is a detailed image gallery of the striking Streetfighter V4 to ogle at!

The all-new Ducati Streetfighter V4 features a stripped-out minimalistic look with a typical streetfighter stance that imposes a highly aggressive character. The motorcycle has high-set wide handlebars and rear set footpegs offering a commanding and upright riding stance.

Ducati has fitted the motorcycle with biplane aerofoils mounted on either side of the large radiator that generates 28kgs of downforce at 270kmph. This prevents the front wheel from 'floating' at high speeds and also the tendency to wheelie. Besides that, they also maintain stability during braking at the turn-in point and through corners.

For lighting, the Streetfighter V4 features an all-LED headlamp unit that is flanked by a V-shaped DRL that sits above it. The frontal design has design cues taken from the fully-faired Panigale V4 and also the crazy grin of the Joker (the comic strip character). 

The naked Streetfighter V4 borrows the fuel tank and the tail section from its fully-faired sibling. However, that’s where the similarities end as the mean-looking front fascia and the sharp tank shrouds give the bike an appeal of its own.

For suspension duties, the Streetfighter V4 comes equipped with 43 mm Showa Big Piston Forks (BPF) to features full adjustability in spring pre-load and compression along with rebound damping which allows the rider to set it up as required. For braking at the front, it features twin discs with Brembo radial caliper mountings for precision braking and confidence. Meanwhile, a Sachs steering damper completes the front-end handling package.

Ducati has strapped in the same 1103cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 unit in the Streetfighter V4 that also powers the Panigale V4. The motor is tuned to produce a peak power output of 205bhp at 12,750rpm with a kerb weight of 178kg (S version). At those figures, the motorcycle boasts of an impressive power-to-weight ratio of 1.17.

For all that brute performance, the Streetfighter V4 has been equipped with a host of electronic aids to keep things under control. It comes with a six-axis inertial measurement platform which detects the motorcycle's roll, yaw and pitch angles along with other systems like Ducati’s version of cornering ABS, traction, slide and a wheelie control system. The motorcycle also comes with Ducati Power Launch (DPL) and Engine Brake Control (EBC) EVO.

Positioned between the single-piece high-set handlebar is the same 5-inch full-TFT colour instrument console that has been borrowed from the Panigale V4. The layout features a circular rev counter on the right and a digital speedo display on the left. The circular rev counter also play the role of a shift light as the white colour of the dial changes to orange and then to red alerting the engine's rev limit.

For the rear, the Streetfighter V4 comes with fully adjustable Sachs shock absorber, wherein one side of the shock is attached to the Desmosedici Stradale engine via a forged aluminium bracket which reacts to movements imparted by the cast aluminium high-truss swingarm.
