- Gets new colour options
- Tour version gets updated suspension setup for better two passenger comfort
- Improved fuel-injection for better low-speed manoeuvrability
The Gold Wing is Honda’s flagship touring motorcycle that comes loaded with top-spec features and equipment. For the 2020 update, the bike maker has carried out a couple of changes to further improve the refinement of the motorcycle.
The main focus of this update has been to improve the low-speed manoeuvrability of the motorcycle. This has been achieved by optimizing the existing 1,883cc flat-six motor powering the Gold Wing by improving its fuel-injection system. Meanwhile, the DCT gearbox has received software and a hardware update again pertaining to low-speed riding. Honda claims that the operation of the DCT gearbox is now smoother and quieter. This has been achieved by using noise damping rubber bushes and other materials. Furthermore, the suspension setting has been tweaked on the tour version for better comfort when riding along with a pillion. The existing grab rail has also been replaced with a larger one for the pillion to hold on to.
Lastly, Honda is offering the Gold Wing Tour DCT in a new Pearl Glare White colour option and the Gold Wing DCT standard variant in a Matte Ballistic Matt Metallic shade. Currently, Honda sells only the DCT variant of the Gold Wing in the Candy Ardent Red shade. Expect the corresponding updates and colour schemes to be introduced in India sometime next year.
