It looks like Royal Enfield is the most talked about motorcycle brand these days. First it was the Meteor and now a brand new 650cc motorcycle, that was recently spotted testing somewhere near Bengaluru.
This test mule is low-slung and has a typical cruiser styling, which makes us believe that this motorcycle is brand new and will be launched under a new brand. While the pictures doesn’t reveal the complete bike, it does show a bit of the engine which we think is a 650cc parallel-twin engine – the same engine that is seen on the Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650.
The test mule does have some design elements from the KX concept that was showcased a few years ago. So the frame, swingarm and the suspension setup are likely to be new. The front wheel looks bigger than the rear – a way to bring out the cruiser stance.
Royal Enfield could introduce this new motorcycle by next year. It is also likely to be positioned above the Interceptor and could take away some sales from the Kawasaki Vulcan S as it will be priced quite lower than the Japanese machine.
