The Sherco TVS Rally Factory Team has announced that Aishwarya Pissay will be part of the team for the upcoming Baja Aragon. She will be one of four riders at the event, which will be held from 20-22 July in Spain.
22-year old Pissay is a multiple champion on the Indian stage, having won the Raid de Himalaya, Dakshin Dare, the Indian National Rally Championship, and the TVS Apache Ladies One Make Championship – all in 2017. The other three riders are brothers Adrien and Michael Metge, and Lorenzo Santolino. The Metge brothers are French, while Santolino is Spanish. All four riders will ride the RTR 450, TVS’s rally bike designed to take on the Dakar Rally.
The Baja Aragon is 827km long, and as mentioned before, will be held from 20-22 July. It is the longest-running cross-country European event, being held for the last 35 years continuously. This year will be hosted by Teruel, as it was the past five years. The route will pass through the regions of Jiloca, Sierra de Albarracín, Cuencas Mineras and Community of Teruel.
