All-new 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa revealed

- Features updated design and dual-tone paint

- Powered by a 1,340cc, Euro5-compliant engine

- To be launched in Europe towards the end of February

Suzuki Motor Corporation has revealed the all-new 2021 Hayabusa. The latest iteration of the motorcycle will be sold worldwide, starting from Europe towards the end of February. The new Hayabusa will be subsequently launched in North America and Japan. The Indian launch details are unavailable yet, although we could see the motorcycle on our shores in the second half of 2021.

Head Light

The all-new Hayabusa is the third-generation model, and it has undergone a full-model change for the first time in 13 years. In terms of design, the motorcycle is instantly recognisable as the Hayabusa. The 2021 model comes with two-tone colours that have been achieved through different colours for the main body and small parts around the front air intakes, on the side cowlings, and in the rear section. At the front, the motorcycle features an LED headlight that is accompanied by turn signals with built-in position lights. These lights are placed on the outer edges of the air intakes.

Right Front Three Quarter

Mechanical specifications include a Euro5-compliant, 1,340cc, inline four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine with ride-by-wire electronic throttle system and revised intake and exhaust mechanism. The setup is aimed to achieve enhanced output and torque in the low-to-mid speed range. The maximum power is rated at 187.7bhp at 9,700rpm while the peak torque output stands at 150Nm at 7,000rpm. The motorcycle tips the weighing scale at 264kg (kerb) while the claimed fuel economy is rated at 14.9kmpl.

Tail Light

The 2021 model also benefits from the new Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.) that features SDMS-α, which brings five riding modes, power mode selector, traction control, engine brake control, bi-directional quick shift system, and anti-lift control system. The ride system also features Active Speed Limiter that allows the rider to set a speed limit that the bike should not exceed under certain circumstances.
