- Gets major overhaul
- Is likely to be priced between Rs 16-18 lakh
Suzuki is all set to introduce the all-new, 2021 Hayabusa to the Indian market tomorrow, 26 April.
We can expect the motorcycle to be priced between Rs 16-18 lakh; a premium over the previous generation’s Rs 13.7 lakh price. However, the extra money will get you a Hayabusa that gets massive upgrades compared to earlier generations. To begin with, the 2021 Hayabusa features new styling that is sharper and more angular than before, while keeping the silhouette of the earlier models. It also comes with full-LED lighting for the headlamp, tail lamp and turn signals that instantly lend it a futuristic appeal.
Handling has also been tweaked by revising the frame to reduce weight and offer 50:50 weight distribution. And while it continues to be powered by a 1340cc, inline-four cylinder engine, the 2021 Hayabusa has been retuned to churn out 188bhp at 9,700rpm as against the previous gen’s 194bhp. The 150Nm of torque is also lowered than the previous 155Nm, although it comes in earlier at 7,000rpm.
Suzuki has also overhauled the list of features on the Hayabusa by offering the 2021 model with a six-axis IMU system, five riding modes, traction control, ride-by-wire throttle, anti-lift control system, ABS, active speed limiter, engine brake control, as well as launch control. The extensive list also consists of low RPM assist, a cruise control system along with slope and hill control. The 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa also comes with a TFT LCD screen fitted between the analogue tachometer and speedometer.
