- Road-biased KTM 890 Adventure S spied
- Could be unveiled later this year
- Unlikely to be launched in India
KTM’s 890 Adventure range is expected to be revamped for 2022 with significant updates. However, apart from the standard and R, the Austrian manufacturer is also expected to have a third, all-new bike in range called the 890 Adventure S.
The KTM 890 Adventure S will be a road-focused variant riding on 17-inch wheels with Continental Conti Road Attack3 tyres at both ends. In comparison, the other models ride on wire-spoke wheels- 21-inch at the front and 18-inch at the rear.
However, just like the new 890 Adventure and Adventure R, the S variant gets a new fairing. While the current versions sport separate side panels and headlamp, these are one-piece on the upcoming models that make for a cleaner and more conventional look. That said, even though the Adventure S will be road-focused, it gets a large sump guard, knuckle guards and will get a tall windscreen too.
Nonetheless, it will come with the same 890cc, LC8 parallel-twin engine like the rest of the Adventure range, probably with a different tune. The spy images suggest that the KTM 890 Adventure S is production-ready and we can expect it to debut sometime later this year. Although, it being launched in India anytime soon is unlikely.
