Apollo Tyres, better known for its car and truck radials, has launched a new range of performance tyres for motorcycles. Called the Apollo Alpha H1, and meant for motorcycles like the KTM 390 Duke, TVS Apache RR310 and the Yamaha R3, these tyres cost Rs 6,499 for the front and Rs 8,499 for the rear.
You can read about the new tyres in our detailed story HERE.
Getting back to the Alpha H1, Apollo Tyres says, these deliver on three crucial parameters that discerning motorcyclists want - cornering grip, handling safety, and longevity or mileage. And to achieve this, the Apollo Alpha H1 uses radial construction with zero-degree steel belt layout, not to mention a unique mix of polymers to ensure that both grip and mileage are not compromised.
The Alpha H1, which is a 'W' rated tyre, goes up against the likes of the Metzeller M5 and the Michelin Pilot Street Radial. In terms of pricing, the 'W' rated M5s are pricier, while the Michelin, which is a H rated tyre is lesser priced.
Alpha H1s are currently available at Apollo branded stores, but in select markets.
