- Pagani 150 launched in China
- It’s a café racer
- Won’t come to India
Piaggio in China has introduced a new motorcycle under its Aprilia brand. It goes by the name Pagani 150 and is a café racer.
This motorcycle is based on the Aprilia CR150 which has been on sale in China since a few years. In fact, the CR150 is based on the FB Mondial 125 but gets a bigger motor. From the pictures it is clear that other than a new name and a full fairing, the bike looks quite similar to the CR150.
The Pagani 150 gets its power from a 150cc liquid-cooled engine that produces around 18bhp at 9750rpm and 14Nm of peak torque torque at 7500 RPM. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Other cycle parts like suspension, brakes, dual-barrel exhaust and spoke wheels have been borrowed from the CR 150.
This Aprilia costs about Rs 2.35 lakh in China and it is made there. The Indian arm of Piaggio has no plans of bringing this bike to India as there’s no market for such bikes in the country.
