Aprilia is all set to launch the RS457 in India today at the IBW 2023. It is the brand's first made-in-the-country motorcycle and is expected to come with an ex-showroom price tag of around Rs. 4 lakh.
Competing against the upcoming Yamaha R3, KTM RC390 and Kawasaki Ninja 400 in India, the RS457 is powered by a 457cc, parallel-twin engine with 47bhp on tap. It is mated to a six-speed gearbox with a quickshifter. The design is familiar and is borrowed from Aprilia's flagship RSV4. Hence, it is aggressive all over with split LED lights and a sharp tail section. However, even the ergonomics are aggressive, with a slight balance towards city riding.
In terms of features, the motorcycle comes with USD forks and monoshock, full-LED lighting and a TFT console. It also gets traction control and dual-channel ABS as standard.
