- Aprilia RS 660 listed on international website
- Is powered by a 660cc, parallel-twin engine
- Could be launched in India by 2021
The Aprilia RS 660 has been listed on the manufacturer’s international website suggesting that it will be launched soon.
The RS 660 draws inspiration from its bigger sibling, the RSV4, and comes with an aggressively-sharp full fairing and aero winglets. It also sports sleek LED headlamps which consist of cornering lights. Moreover, the fuel tank gets sharp lines and creases and the svelte, RSV4-like rear end completes the aggressive styling of the RS 660.
Beneath the fairing of the RS 660 lurks a 660cc, parallel-twin motor that is capable of producing 100 bhp. Aprilia has equipped the RS 660 to the neck with electronic aids. It gets gizmos like wheelie control, cornering ABS, cruise control, five ride modes as well as a two-way quick shifter. After all, it will be competing against the potent Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R. Moreover, the RS 660 also comes with a 5-inch TFT screen with two layouts.
As for suspension, the Aprilia RS 660 employs 41mm, USD forks sourced from Kayaba, and a mono-shock at the rear. Meanwhile, stopping power has been sourced from Brembo. Aprilia will be offering the RS 660 in two paint schemes- matte black with red and purple with red paint inspired by the RS250 Reggiani Replica motorcycle.
While Aprilia could globally launch the RS 660 in the coming months, it is likely to arrive in India sometime in 2021.
