Aprilia India recently launched the RS457 in India as its latest and the most affordable supersport offering. It is priced at Rs. 4,10,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and rivals the Kawasaki Ninja 300 and Ninja 400, KTM RC 390, and the upcoming Yamaha YZF-R3. The Aprilia RS457 is powered by a 457cc parallel-twin cylinder engine. It dishes out 47.6bhp and 43.5Nm and gets a six-speed gearbox. Aprilia has also offered a list of electronics on the RS457 and the list includes LED illumination, engine maps, traction control, ABS, an anti-roll system, three riding modes, and a five-inch TFT.
It rides on USD front forks and a monoshock, both preload-adjustable. Then, its brakes include a 320mm front and a 220mm rear disc. These are mounted on 17-inch wheels wrapped in TVS Protorq tyres.
