- Pre-bookings open in the USA and Canada
- Prices vary as per the colour variant
- India launch expected to take place soon
While we are eagerly waiting for the India launch of the RS457, Aprilia has announced the prices of the motorcycle for two international markets including the USA and Canada. The company is taking pre-bookings in these countries and the motorcycle will arrive at dealerships between April and June.
In the USA, the Prismatic Dark and Opalescent Light colours have been priced at $6,799 (Rs. 5.66 lakh) while the Racing Stripes version costs $6,899 (Rs. 5.74 lakh). On the other hand, the Canadians will have to shell out 7,999 (Rs. 4.83 lakh) for the Racing Stripes trim and 7,799 (Rs. 4.71 lakh) for the remaining two colour schemes. As of now, we don’t have any confirmation about its India pricing. Nevertheless, we believe the RS457 will be comparatively more affordable here since the production will take place locally in India.
The Aprilia RS457 is the younger sibling of the RS660 and boasts a design very similar to the latter. However, the engine is a smaller 457cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin unit that produces 47bhp and comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. Underpinned by a twin-spar aluminium frame, it rides on 17-inch alloys that are suspended by USD forks and a monoshock. On the feature front, it’s a decent package with full LED lighting, a TFT console, traction control, and a quick shifter.
The India launch of the Aprilia RS457 is expected to take place soon. Once launched, it will compete against the likes of the KTM RC 390 and Kawasaki Ninja 400.
