- Aprilia RS660 spied testing before global debut
- Likely to be available in two variants
- Expected to be launched in India in 2021
Aprilia has been spotted testing the RS660 yet again.
The RS660 was showcased at the 2019 EICMA in Italy and was scheduled for a public debut at the Mugello circuit on 9 May. However, the manufacturer postponed the launch indefinitely due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Nevertheless, that hasn’t prevented the folks at Noale from testing the upcoming supersports.
The newest spy images reveal an RS660 with a projector lamp placed in between the full-LED headlights alongside a bike with the regular setup. The model also featured turn signals integrated into the rearview mirrors. While there is no official confirmation, earlier reports suggested that the manufacturer could introduce the RS660 in two variants; a street bike and a more track-focused machine. Whether or not that is true, only time will tell.
Nevertheless, we are looking forward to the global launch of the Aprilia RS660 as the motorcycle is expected to arrive in India sometime in 2021. It will go up against the likes of the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R, Honda CBR650R, and the upcoming Triumph Street Triple R.
