- Priced at $24,499 USD (Rs 16.22 lakhs)

Italian manufacturer, Aprilia has revealed the RSV4 RF LE at the GP of the Americas in Austin, Texas.
The bike is based on the Aprilia RSV4 RF, however with carbon fiber aerodynamic winglets borrowed straight from the Aprilia ‘Factory Works’ program. Along with the winglets, the bike also sports a new livery that pays homage to the manufacturer’s first world championship win in 1987. It also gets a plate on the triple clamp that indicates the production number.
The bike is limited to 100 units for the USA and 25 for Canada and is priced at $24,499 USD (Rs 16.22 lakhs), a $1000 USD (Rs 66,000) premium over the RSV4 RF. The company says that the winglets are not made to be functional and but only look similar to the Aprilia RS-GP race bike. It also pointed out that the RSV4 RF LE is not a homologation special and will not be the base for its WSBK race bike.
With the introduction of the Aprilia RF LE with winglets, we can expect other superbikes to follow the design element soon. It also shows us the future of design from the Italian manufacturer. However, we Indians will not be able to lay our hands on the Aprilia RSV4 RF LE as it is unlikely to arrive in the country.
