- Limited to just 100 units across the globe
- Oriented for track use only
- It is based on the standard RSV4 but gets a full racebike package
A couple of years ago, Aprilia launched the RSV4 XTrenta, a track-only motorcycle based on the RSV4, the Italian manufacturer's supersport offering. While the XTrenta is limited to 100 units worldwide, one of them has landed in India.
The track-only Aprilia XTrenta RSV4 benefits from a bunch of racing bits while borrowing the silhouette of the standard bike. It gets carbon fibre bodywork developed by Modena-based PAN Compisiti. The setup comprises appendages at the front and rear and the swingarm. The RSV4 XTrenta is said to have four per cent less drag, thanks to the winglets.
Powering the Aprilia race bike is a 1,099cc liquid-cooled V4 engine. It makes 230bhp, which is 13bhp more than the standard RSV4. The XTrenta further benefits from an SC project titanium and carbon fibre full system exhaust as well as a Magneti Marelli ECU.
During its debut, the Aprilia RSV4 XTrenta was priced at EUR 50,000 (approximately Rs 40 lakh sans the taxes). Fair to say, a motorcycle with such hardware doesn’t come cheap.
