When Piaggio announced its plan to launch a ‘peppier’ version of the SR150, it got a lot of us excited. This peppier version was launched as the SR150 Race and demanded few thousand rupees more. The scooter gets a new grey paint scheme which feels and looks better than the black and white paint schemes.
Just like the motorcycles from Aprilia, the SR150 Race gets a gold front brake calliper which adds sportiness to the scooter.
The overall styling is inspired from Aprilia’s RS-GP MotoGP bike. The green and red are nods to the racing heritage of the brand.
The CVT gearbox has been retuned to give better acceleration to the scooter.
The rear drum brake on the SR150 Race has improved. The braking performance is better, there’s good feel and response too.
The 14-inch alloy wheels on the scooter are red. The standard version gets black wheels.
