- SR 125 and Storm 125 dearer by Rs 5,000
- SR 160 gets Rs 4,000 more expensive
Piaggio has increased the prices of its Aprilia line-up of scooters in India this month. And these price increments are quite substantial for scooters as the SR 160 is now Rs 4,000 more expensive while the smaller SR 125 and the Storm 125 have witnessed a larger bump of Rs 5,000. The latest ex-showroom (Delhi) prices of Aprilia scooters are mentioned below:
Aprilia SR 125: Rs 1,21,475
Aprilia Storm 125: Rs 1,11,171
Aprilia SR 160: Rs 1,30,373
Aprilia SR 160 Carbon: Rs 1,32,884
Aprilia SR 160 Race: Rs 1,39,625
It’s worth noting that all the Aprilia scooters had received an even more substantial price hike just last month when all of them got over Rs 6,000 more expensive. While Aprilia scooters were already priced on the premium side, these consistent increments are making them further inaccessible for a lot of buyers.
All Aprilia scooters remain unchanged mechanically. The SR 160 is powered by a 160.03cc, air-cooled, three-valve engine that produces 10.84bhp and 11.6Nm of peak torque. Meanwhile, the SR 125 and Storm 125 are propelled by a 124.45cc mill that churns out 9.78bhp and 9.7Nm in both scooters. While the SR 125 and SR 160 ride on 14-inch wheels with road-biased tyres, the Storm gets smaller 12-inch wheels with block pattern rubbers.
