Aprilia has commenced the bookings for the SXR 160 in India and the new scooter is likely to be launched very soon. While the launch details are yet to be announced, here we tell you what you can expect to see on the upcoming Aprilia SXR 160.
Styling
The new SXR 160 features a modern design that is complemented by its muscular looks and premium features. The front fascia gets a twin-pod LED headlight setup that mimics the design of the Aprilia superbikes. The front also features a tall, tinted windscreen. The cockpit gets a fully-digital instrument cluster while the saddle features a step-up design. At the rear, the SXR 160 gets a sleek taillight setup. The dual-tone finish and the modern alloy wheel design further enhance the styling of the scooter.
Colours
As reported earlier, the upcoming scooter will be offered in a choice of four colour options – Red, Blue, Black, and White.
Engine
The Aprilia SXR 160 will be powered by a 160cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that delivers 10.84bhp of power at 7,600rpm and 11.6Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm. The same motor also powers the Aprilia SR160.
Hardware
The suspension setup on the Aprilia SXR 160 will comprise of telescopic forks at the front and a single-sided spring at the back. Anchoring tasks will be handled by a disc brake at the front and a drum setup at the back.
Price
The SXR 160 is likely to arrive with a Rs 1.27 lakh (ex-showroom) price tag, which is a premium of nearly Rs 24,000 over the SR160.
