- Disc brake version to be discontinued next month
- To be available in drum brake version only
- Powered by a 124.45cc, single-cylinder engine
Piaggio India has confirmed to Bikewale that it will discontinue the disc brake variant of the Aprilia Storm from our market. This model will be discontinued with effect from 1 July, 2022. Thus, the scooter will now be available in a single variant – drum brake. The drum brake version is currently available for Rs 1,00,666 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Notably, Aprilia introduced a front disc brake as an option with the BS6 update.
The Aprilia Storm 125 rivals the likes of TVS Ntorq 125, Honda Grazia, and the Yamaha RayZR 125 in the Indian market. It is powered by a 124.45cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 9.78bhp and 9.60Nm of peak torque. The Storm 125 is the most affordable model in Aprilia’s India portfolio. Further, unique to this scooter are the 12-inch alloy wheels that are shod in knobby Vee Rubber tyres.
The feature list comprises a twin-pod analogue instrument cluster, apron-mounted headlight, telescopic front forks, single-coil rear spring, and combined braking system. This scooter is currently available in five colours – red, white, black, yellow, and blue.
