-Storm 125 priced at Rs 65,000 (ex-showroom)
-Costs around Rs 8,000 lesser than the SR125
-Gets smaller wheels and different set of graphics
Aprilia has officially launched the Storm 125 in India with a sticker price of Rs 65,000 (ex-showroom).
It is based on the SR125 and costs around Rs 8,000 lesser than the latter. The Strom 125 is offered in two colour schemes of red and yellow adorned with rugged-themed graphics. Aprilia will also introduce a white colour option for the Storm 125 soon.
It also differentiates itself with the smaller, 12-inch alloy wheels which are shod with knobby Vee Rubber tyres. The suspension is handled by telescopic forks up front and a single coil spring at the rear while braking is taken care of by drum brakes at both ends with CBS.
Powering the Aprilia Storm 125 is the same 125cc engine that does duty in the SR125. The engine churns out 9.5bhp and 9.9Nm of torque. The Storm 125 continues to offer the twin-pod analogue instrument cluster as the SR125. Furthermore, the headlamp, tail lamp and turn signals are all conventionally lit.
Aprilia dealerships across the country are already accepting bookings for the Storm 125 and deliveries are expected to begin soon. The Storm 125, thanks to its drum brake setup and smaller wheels has become a more accessible option as compared to the SR125. This pricing will pit the Storm 125 against the Honda Activa 125 and TVS Ntorq 125 in India.
