-Storm 125 is already available at most dealerships
-Priced at Rs 65,000 (ex-showroom)
-Gets smaller wheels with wider knobby tyres and new graphics
Aprilia is scheduled to officially launch the Storm 125 in India on 30 May. We were to first to report that the scooter will be priced at Rs 65,000 (ex-showroom).
The Storm 125 is based on the SR125 although with a couple of changes. The most noticeable difference is the bold colour with the rugged-themed graphics. Along with this, Aprilia has fitted the Storm 125 with smaller-sized wheels that are wrapped in knobby tyres sourced from Vee Rubber. The manufacturer is expected to launch two variants of the scooter. The alloy wheel with drum brake version will be the first to arrive which will be followed by a disc brake variant.
The analogue instrument cluster is similar to the SR125 and so is the engine. The Storm 125 is powered by a 125cc motor that produces 9.5bhp of power and 8.2Nm of torque. Telescopic forks up front and a single coil spring at the rear make up for suspension duties.
The Aprilia Storm 125 is already available in most dealerships with bookings already commenced. Deliveries are expected to begin soon. In terms of competition, it will go against the Honda Grazia and TVS Ntorq 125 in the Indian market.
