Piaggio recently announced the launch of the Aprilia SXR 125. The maxi-scooter is priced at Rs 1.15 lakh ex-showroom (Mumbai) and only has a Standard variant on offer. Let's take a look at the design, features and specifications of the Aprilia SXR 125 through this detailed image gallery.
Starting with the design, this maxi-scooter looks quite big, thanks to its front end with a long windscreen. It also looks quite sharp from its side profile. The headlamp and tail lamp section on the scooter are designed quite aerodynamically too.
It also gets graphics and reflectors on its sides. The maxi-scooter is available in four different colour options: Matte Black, Glossy White, Matte Blue and Glossy Red.
It comes with features like all LED lights with DRL at the front, fully-digital instrument cluster, USB charging port and automatic headlight ON (AHO) feature as well.
Powering the SXR 125 is a 125cc air-cooled, three-valve FI engine that churns out 9.38bhp at 7,600rpm and 9.2Nm at 6,250rpm. The ride here is taken care of by hydraulic double telescopic forks at the front and a hydraulic shock absorber at the rear.
For braking, it employs a 220mm disc at the front and 140mm drum at the rear assisted by CBS technology. It runs on 12-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 120/70 section tyres on both sides.
