Piaggio India has commenced the pre-bookings for its upcoming 125cc scooter, the SXR 125. The scooter can be pre-booked before the launch for an initial amount of Rs 5,000 through its e-commerce site or at any Aprilia dealership. The upcoming scooter will join the SXR 160 in the Indian market and rival the likes of Suzuki Burgman Street 125.
The upcoming Aprilia SXR 125 packs premium features such as a twin-pod LED headlight, LED taillight, full digital cluster, Bluetooth connectivity (optional), a comfortable saddle, adjustable rear suspension, and a front disc brake with CBS. Mechanical specifications include a BS6-compliant, 125cc, single cylinder engine with three valves and fuel injection technology that makes 9.4bhp at 7,600rpm and 9.2Nm of peak torque. The SXR 125 will be available in four colours – Matte Black, Glossy White, Matte Blue, and Glossy Red.
While the pre-bookings have opened, the launch details are still not available. While the launch details are unavailable, Piaggio India has confirmed in a press statement that the production of the Aprilia SXR 125 has commenced at its Baramati plant, Pune.
