- First Aprilia scooter to be launched in the Nepalese market
- Available in two variants (125cc and 160cc)

The Piaggio Group has updated its product portfolio in Nepal with the launch of the Aprilia SXR 160. The SXR 160 is the first Aprilia scooter to be launched in the Nepalese market.
Similar to the India-spec Aprilia SXR 160, the Nepalese model features a flat footboard, LED lights, a digital display, ABS, 12-inch, oversize saddle, and five-spoke alloy wheels. The scooter will be sold in two engine options –160cc and 125cc – both featuring fuel-injection technology.
The 160cc, single-cylinder motor makes 10.84bhp at 7,600rpm and 11.6Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm. The 125cc variant is tuned to produce 9.4bhp and 8.2Nm.
Speaking about the launch, Piaggio India CEO, Diego Graffi, said that the scooter has delivered promising performance since its launch in the country. The scooter was named the “Best Two-Wheeler” at the Auto Expo 2020.
