- SXR 160 scooter launch this month
- Expected price of Rs 1.15 lakh
- Will be available in two colours
Piaggio will launch their most awaited production – the Aprilia SXR 160 in India this month. This maxi-scooter was first unveiled to the world at the 2020 Auto Expo.
According to our dealer sources, the SXR 160 will hit the Indian market in the fourth week of December. The scooter will start arriving at dealerships by the end of December with deliveries expected to begin in first week of January.
The SXR 160 has been especially for the Indian market and will go up against the Suzuki Burgman Street 125 here. The scooter’s aggressive LED headlamp is inspired by the RS660 and is integrated into an angular front apron. The tail section is sleek too and houses an LED tail lamp. As for features, the Aprilia SXR 160 offers a large and comfy-looking seat, an LCD instrument cluster, and a USB charging port. The Aprilia SXR 160 will get its power from the same 160cc fuel-injected engine that we see on the SR160 But with a different state of tune. The CVT gearbox is expected to be tweaked as well.
Just like the other scooters in its portfolio, the SXR 160 is expected to be priced quite high. We are expecting a starting price of Rs 1.15 lakh (ex-showroom).
