- Aprilia SXR 160 available at dealerships
- Expected to be priced at Rs 1.25 lakh
- Powered by a 160cc engine
Aprilia is set to launch its most anticipated offering of 2020- the SXR 160 in India anytime soon. And the scooter has already started reaching showrooms across the country ahead of its launch.
The Aprilia SXR 160 sports a maxi-scooter style design which positions it as a competitor to the Suzuki Burgman Street 125. With a front end inspired by the RS660, LED headlamp and sharp lines all along its bodywork, the Aprilia SXR 160 is an attractive looking scooter. It is available in a choice of four colours- white, blue, black and red.
Nevertheless, the scooter is underpinned by the same components as the SR160 and also comes powered by the same 160cc, three-valve engine. The unit produces the same power and torque as the SR160 although Aprilia has revised the motor to suit the SXR’s character. Even the suspension and braking hardware is shared between the two scooters.
While pricing is yet to be announced, the SXR160 is expected to be priced around Rs 1.25 lakh; which is a considerable premium over the SR160’s 1.04 lakh price tag.
