- SXR 160 to costs Rs 1.27 lakh
- Rs 20,000 more expensive than SR 160
- Launch this month
Piaggio India will soon launch their most awaited product, the Aprilia SXR 160. The bookings of this scooter will commence in a few days but we have managed to get the pricing of this maxi-scooter.
According to our sources, the Aprilia SXR 160 will be priced at Rs 1.27 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai), which makes it Rs 20,000 more than the SR160. This brand new scooter will go against the Suzuki Burgman Street but when it comes to pricing, it will carve its own niche. At this price point, this Aprilia is quite expensive making it an extremely premium product.
The SXR 160 has been designed for the Indian market by the Italians. Being a maxi-scooter, there’s a lot of space for luggage and also to keep your legs. The riding position looks upright and comfortable. The seat too, is quite large. The scooter’s aggressive LED headlamp is inspired by the RS660 and is integrated into an angular front apron. The tail section is sleek too and houses an LED tail lamp. As for features, the Aprilia SXR 160 offers a large and comfy-looking seat, an LCD instrument cluster, and a USB charging port. The Aprilia SXR 160 will get its power from the same 160cc fuel-injected engine that we see on the SR160 But with a different state of tune. The CVT gearbox is expected to be tweaked as well.
We will be riding the new Aprilia SXR 160 this month. So expect the first ride review to be out very soon.
