Styling
The Aprilia SXR 160 is built on the underpinnings of the SR160 but sports a maxi-scooter styling. The front end is inspired by the RS660supersport, with an aggressive-looking LED headlamp. It also gets a tall, tinted windscreen that completes its character. And with sharp lines flowing all along its bodywork, the Aprilia SXR 160 is an attractive-looking scooter.
Colours
Aprilia is offering the SXR160 in a choice of four colours- white, blue, black and red.
Features
Apart from the full-LED headlamp and LED tail light, the Aprilia SXR160 comes with features like a fully-digital instrument cluster- a first for an Aprilia scooter in India. It displays a speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, real-time fuel efficiency, fuel range, two trip meters, a clock, as well as a temperature indicator. It also offers USB charger, and lockable glove box.
Engine
The Aprilia SXR160 is be powered by a 160cc, single-cylinder, three-valve, air-cooled engine that churns out 10.84bhp of power at 7,600rpm and 11.6Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm. This is the same motor that powers the Aprilia SR160. The scooter also uses the same suspension and braking hardware as the latter.
Price
The SXR 160 is priced at Rs 1.26 lakh (ex-showroom), which is a premium of nearly Rs 23,000 over the SR160. It competes against the Suzuki Burgman Street 125 that also sports a maxi-scooter styling.
