- New range of Aprilias to be launched this month
- Tuareg 660 prices already out
- Will launch 2024 RS660
Piaggio is planning to launch a range of their Aprilia big bikes this month. The company will launch the 2024 range of its entire big bike line-up on 16 April.
According to the invite the brand has sent, this launch event will see its next generation of high-performance superbikes. Interestingly, the prices of the Tuareg are already out and these prices make this adventure bike the most expensive in the segment. The Tuareg 660 will be offered in three colours with the two colours being priced at Rs 18.85 lakh and the Dakar paint scheme one at Rs 19.16 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Tuareg 660 rivals the recently launched Suzuki V-Strom 800 DE and also bikes like the Honda XL750 Transalp and the more expensive BMW F850GS. But at the current price tag of Rs 18.85 lakh, this adventure bike is definitely not going to find many takers. The Italian firm positions itself as a high aspirational brand with extreme premium pricing. As a result of this approach, it fails to make any difference in the premium bike space. The RS660 was first launched in India in 2021 and since then, the company has barely sold any units. The story is likely to be repeated with the Tuareg 660 if the prices mentioned on its official website are correct.
