- Powered by a 457cc, twin-cylinder motor
- Being tested at Africa Eco Race
- Likely to debut at EICMA 2024
The Aprilia Tuareg 457 rally bike has been spotted testing yet again after its first public appearance a few days ago. The adventure motorcycle is being tested at the Africa Eco Race desert rally.
This particular model is a rally prototype with purpose-built rally parts. The motorcycle is seen with a navigation tower, off-road tyres and rally-spec suspension. The bike also sports an upswept full-system exhaust.
Compared to the rally bike, the production-spec Tuareg 457 will feature more conservative cycle parts to suit its adventure touring application. That said, it could retain the wire-spoke wheels of the rally bike with a possible 21/17-inch combination. We can expect the overall styling to be similar to the Tuareg 660.
The Aprilia Tuareg 457 is also likely to share the colour TFT display with the RS 457. However, the chassis and sub-frame seem to be specifically designed for the Tuareg 457. Powering the bike will be the same 457cc, twin-cylinder engine that makes 47bhp and 43Nm of peak torque. That said, Aprilia may tweak the final drive ratio to suit the Tuareg’s character.
The Aprilia Tuareg 457 is expected to be showcased at EICMA 2024. India will be the production base for the entire 457 range of motorcycles. So, expect the Tuareg 457 to be launched in India in the first half of 2025.
