- Aprilia Tuareg 660 details emerge
- Expected to be a proper off-road ADV
- Is likely to be unveiled by end of 2021
Aprilia unveiled its 660cc offerings- the RS 660 and Tuono 660 at the 2019 EICMA. However, the manufacturer from Noale also gave us a glimpse of its upcoming adventure motorcycle- the Tuareg 660.
The motorcycle derives its name from the original Tuareg that was sold from 1985-1994. It focused on being a lightweight off-roader with a rally raid-inspired design. And there is no doubt that Aprilia would want the upcoming Tuareg 660 to follow on the same path. While details of the motorcycle are scarce, the latest reports have confirmed that the Tuareg 660 will ride on a 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheel. This setup puts it in direct contention with other off-road focused motorcycles like the Yamaha Tenere 700 and KTM 890 Adventure. Furthermore, Aprilia has also been working on keeping the weight low.
Now, Aprilia has also confirmed that the Tuareg 660 would be sold as a 2022 model but is likely to be unveiled by the end of this year. As for its India launch timeline, there is no word yet, although we can expect it to make its way to our country sometime in 2022.
